- On Audio Setup, select “ASIO4ALL” for audio device. Then, on Output Routing, select “Internal” for mixing mode, on Out Master select 1: Front Left, then 2: Front Right. Output Monitor should be 3: Back Left, then 4: Back Right.Degenerate, post: 21893, member: 2367 wrote: Alvin, in output routing the only options available for anything under the output routing tab is, “HD Audio digital out 1” and “HD Audio digital out 2”. Oh and im using a hercules e2 mixer so i’d need to use external mixer right? cheers manSo I’ve checked your controller the Hercules E2, and learned that it doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. And, the computer that you are connecting to is using a Digital-Out interface, which means your ordinary 3.5mm will not work with it. You will need a S/PDIF is a digital audio interconnect to RCA cable to be able to connect it to an external mixer or speakers.Try using Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode)) as your audio setup and use “internal” in your output routing select “anything” that is available on your drop down list and see if any sound is produced in your computer. If it still doesn’t work, then your computer’s soundcard doesn’t support external audio routing, you may need to buy a DJ soundcard like one of these: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/6-budget-dj-sound-cards/Degenerate, post: 21893, member: 2367 wrote: Alvin, in output routing the only options available for anything under the output routing tab is, “HD Audio digital out 1” and “HD Audio digital out 2”. But, if you want to connect it to high-powered mixers and speakers, then I recommend buying a DJ soundcard from numark or native instruments. No Sound Traktor
Hi
I have some issues with my ddj-sr controller, if I connect with my PC via usb cable only I got no sound in Serato DJ. First I only able to recognize the controller with the software if I turn on the controller, run the application, I got the error no compatible device, then close the application, change the audio device in windows to my onboard soundcard , then run the application again, but I go no sound at all, I definitely wouldn't label the product as plug and play. If I use Traktor Pro 2 and set the audio device within the application to the ddj-sr then it works (LOL) . I good friend of mine lend me his external soundcard (akai eie-pro) and a pair of speakers (krk-rokit5) and when I connect the external soundcard with either trs or rca cabel I finally got sound in Serato DJ, however it is distroted a bit and clipping.
I find a bit odd that I got no sound from the natively supported software and I got sound from a different software, also it seems to be working with an external soundcard, but I don't think it would be fair if I have to buy an additional device in order to make it work
please advise
thank you
Larkyn
